TESON executive committee developed a strategic planning document of TESON organizing a two-day workshop at CERID/TU in which the executive members carried out SWOT analysis of TESON and identified the key thematic areas of its operation in the teacher education space that include;
a) formation of units in different higher education institutions of the country: province level,
b) empowering local units to organize professional development events
c) fund-raising for infrastructure development,
d) policy research in teacher education,
e) providing consultancy services,
f) organizing issue-based discussion and talk series, and networking with national and international organizations.
